Sean Ludwig was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and educated in Atlanta Georgia. A curious mixture of both 'northern' and 'southern' American culture have made for an interesting perspective on creativity, format, and content in his sculpture. As one of millions of Americans (as well as billions world-wide), Sean's cultural, educational, economical, and political experiences have taken their toll on the quality of his life; These environmental and social issues hold much weight in his conceptual development and sculptural processes. The content of his work is mirrored by the application of pertinent materials as well as the forum in which they are displayed. As the world's controversies change and unfold for better or for worse, Sean will continue to produce the much needed artistic translation between the people and those who govern them.
